The app was able to register driving and toll
The trial used an app to register driving in time and kilometres. The app registered the user’s behaviour and driving either automatically or manually.
Box in the car
Some test participants used both an app and a box in their passenger car. This has provided greater insight into the different technical solutions.
Control and enforcement via number plate cameras
The control was based on the automatic reading of number plates using Sund & Bælt’s existing number plate cameras. In addition, images will be manually validated afterwards.
Data from the number plate cameras will be compared with data from the app in order to issue potential fines.
